The vaping community has experienced a shift in the e-liquid category, with many retailers in the industry moving over to longfills. Vaperite aims to keep our consumers informed, allow us to introduce you to the ins and outs of the longfill category!

What Are Longfill E-Liquids?

A longfill e-liquid is a combination of vape components which are sold separately in specific volumes to form a finished e-liquid. These components are flavour shots, VG shots and nicotine shots, which when correctly combined constitute a vapable e-liquid.

Flavour shots are a combination of artificial and natural flavourings, sweeteners and cooling agents carried in a propylene glycol solution.

VG shots are a 100% multi-purpose, food-grade vegetable glycerin additive, which contains no other ingredients.

Nicotine shots are a combination of either freebase or salt nicotine, carried in either a PG or VG solution.

The combination of these longfill shots in the correct volumes constitutes a stable and vapable e-liquid.

There are a few different combinations depending on different user preferences, let us take you through all the options we offer!

How To Use Longfill E-Liquids

When mixing long-fill e-liquids, consider the VG/PG ratio and the e-liquid volume.

Freebase longfills have three shots, a 30ml Flavour Shot, a 10ml PG/Nic Shot and an 80ml VG Shot which make up a 120ml e-liquid with a 70/30 PG to VG ratio.

Saltnic and MTL longfills have two shots, a 15ml Flavour Shot and a 15ml Nic Shot which makes up and 30ml e-liquid with a 50/50 VG to PG ratio.

Using longfill e-liquids is an easy process. Once you have done it once or twice, it will become a natural series of steps.

Once you have chosen your longfill flavour shot, follow these steps to mix it together:

Step 1

  • Remove the longfill cap: The first step is to remove the cap of your longfill bottles. You may need to use a bottle opener if you are struggling to get it off.

Step 2

Depending on which longfill you have chosen follow one of the below.

  • Dilute your freebase concentrate: The second step you need to take is to dilute your 30ml concentrated flavour shot which comes in a larger 120ml bottle that has enough room for the other required shots. You can do this by pouring in a 10ml Freebase Nic Shot and an 80ml VG Shot. If you prefer to vape without using nicotine, you can use our 10ml 0mg PG Nic Shot.
  • Dilute your saltnic/mtl concentrate: The second step you need to take is to dilute your 15ml concentrated flavour shot which comes in a larger 30ml bottle that has enough room for the other required shots. You can do this by pouring in a 15ml MTL Nic Shot or 15ml Salt Nic shot. There is no need for a VG shot in this case.

Step 3

  • Seal it and shake it: Place your nozzle and cap back onto the bottle and shake it well to ensure that the concentrate blends with the shots. This is super important, make sure to give your longfill a good shake before trying to vape it.

Step 4 (Optional)

  • Steep your liquid: Steeping your e-liquid will allow all the flavour to basically mature. You can let your longfill mixture stand in a cool, dark place for a day or even up to two weeks for optimal flavour and a more enjoyable flavour experience. This step is optional, but letting your liquid stand for at least half an hour is recommended.

Step 5

  • Get ready to vape: After you have shaken up your longfill mixture and allowed it to steep (only if you want to), you are ready to vape away! Load up your vaping device and enjoy your personalised creation.

Longfill e-liquids are more than just bottles of vape juice. They give users a lot of options and ways to make their vaping journey unique.
